Have you made a video tutorial that you would like to see featured on VideoTutorialZone? Would you like to make a video that is featured here? We are now accepting tutorials made by outside sources, but they must strictly follow the guidelines listed below. Before you read this, please understand that we are looking for quality above quantity.
1. Your video must be within context
We won't allow this site to get diluted with off-topic content, even though the topic range here is fairly broad. This doesn't mean that we won't add a new category for your video if we need to, but it must be a natural extension to what we already feature here. In other words, a video on 'How to Score High in Halo 3' will never be accepted, but a video about completing a specific task in C# most likely would. Additionally, we must believe that there is some demand for the video you submit, and it must be current. For example, we will not post a video that shows people how to tweak Windows 98.
2. It must meet specific quality standards:
Resolution: The native resolution of your video must be 640 pixels wide.
Pan and Zoom: You must make good use of panning and zooming so that all aspects of the video can be easily followed.
Voice Quality: You must have a good speaking voice
Flow: The video must flow well, and be complete.
Outboud Link: We will link to your site, but your site must meet standards of quality and professionalism.
3. It must not be (or seem like) an advertisement
We understand that you may be the author of a product that you provide a tutorial for, and that is perfectly fine. However, your video must come across as a HOW TO, not an ad for that product. You should assume that the viewer already has your product and not try to sell to them. This is something that is entirely at our discretion, so just consider that the more 'in your face' it is, the more we will be turned off.
4. You must allow us to do the following:
Add the VideoTutorialZone Pre-Roll and Post-Roll on the video.
Distribute the video to our video hosting providers.
Edit the descriptive text you provide with your submission.
What we will do for you:
VideoTutorialZone is a very fast growing site. In only its second month of activity, it served more than 50,000 page views with over 15,000 unique visitors, and is steadily growing at a staggering rate. This will give you another avenue of exposure.
In the video description, we will provide a link to your site, as well as a blurb about your site. We do not require a link back (although it would be nice)
Finally... Submit your video:
By submitting your video tutorial, you agree to any terms outlined above.
