Microsoft Visual C++ Lesson 1: Creating your first "Hello World" program in the Console
This Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 video tutorial version is the second in the Visual C++ series. It assumes that you have installed our IDE and that you have it running. In this lesson,. you create your first program: A Hello World application that runs as a console application. This is the typical introduction to programming in all languages, and is meant to show you how easy it is to get started with a programming language. In just a few minutes, you will have created your first program in C++. Admittedly, it doesn't do much, but as you proceed to other lessons, you will be well on your way to programming in Visual C++.

Microsoft Visual C++ Lesson 1: Creating your first "Hello World" program in the Console
This video is honestly just a 1,2,3 video, not really anything that explains why thing are, and how they hang together. Efter watching it, one would still be without further knowledge of how things works, one is just left to guessing what the different Strings means.
This video is about VS 2003. It appears to be the same in VS 2008, except you must right click on the Source Files folder in the Solution Explorer and go to Add >> New Item...
