Windows Vista’s boot screen is pretty boring, and for those of you that like to really customize your desktop, you may be wondering why it isn’t as easy in Vista as it was in previous versions. While it isn’t as easy as it used to be, if you follow along while watching this tutorial you will see that changing the boot screen to your own custom image still fairly simple.
There is the easy way, and there is the hard way.

The hard way involves getting into some resource editing, while the easy way involves downloading and installing a free software tool that does the intense stuff for you. It is called Vista Boot Logo Generator by Dan Smith. It doesn’t do everything for you, hence this tutorial, but it certainly makes life easier, so that is what we’ll be showing you in this video.

hi guys, i downloaded the vista boot logo gen. is this ok for vista ultimate 64 bit or any other 64bit os?
it says do run this if you use 64bit.??

Didnt work

I followed these instructions completely and have even gone through the method twice but it just ends up using windows default 'no gui' boot screen which looks like a dark version of Aurora
