There is no shortage of tutorials on the net that show you how to install PHP on Windows with IIS, but since it is a base requirement for so many other things we plan on writing tutorials for, we decided to do a PHP only tutorial for Windows 2003 and IIS.

In this tutorial, we start with a fresh Windows 2003 Standard server with Internet Information Server (IIS) already up and running. We download PHP5, install it manually and configure IIS to serve PHP pages. We don't get into any special editing of the PHP.INI file, but that will be covered in other, more specific tutorials on this site. Looking for more help? Search Amazon for PHP books

This was an excellent tutorial for installing PHP5 in IIS6 as I was kinda lost in doing that, 'cause I want to install Joomla there also.

-Right down to the point.

-Very easily explained.

Only 1 little question?

I did everything explained in video but when I am trying to access index.php it prompt mt for login and pass. What login and pass i need to enter. I want that anyone can access this page including me. What I have to do to make this page accessible on the net. Please give me details as I installed IIS6.0 first time.

I followed your instructions exactly as you explain them and I cam not able to get the index.php file to display the php information. I don't understand. I am running Win 2003 SP3 and it's a 64bit machine. Any ideas. I've done it on two similar servers I still can't get php to display.
